"Mindful Schools" NEW Sustainable Blended Learning Model for Teacher Training
Cohort #2 start date: January 4, 2018 - must register by December 29, 2017
NEW Sustainable Blended Learning Model
We will be starting our 2nd Teacher Cohort this January. Offering a blended learning model in which course content is acquired online through the experienced teachers at Mindful Schools but will be facilitated utilizing face-to-face practice/learning sessions with Patti Ward, Mindful Schools Certified Instructor and Cheryl Blackington, Mindfulness in Schools Instructor. The purpose will be to create ‘*Communities of Practice’ within a geographic area, school building or school district, which will serve to provide sustainability of this social emotional learning practice.
Phase 1: Mindfulness for Adults
Phase 2: Teaching Mindfulness in the classroom
Phase 3: *Communities of Practice - Sustainability
*Community of practice: groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.
Special thanks to Mindful Schools grads Lucy MacGregor and Jelena Popovic for creating this teaching format and their support and encouragement.
